On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, Benny Garza III was brought to the tender embrace of God. Benny was a native of Laredo, Texas.His professional life began as an Air Force, PFC, following his entrepreneurial impulse that eventually lead him to starting a successful business named Laredo Home Theater. What harnessed his skills and charming personality was a long career in safety management, where he provided the best of service to many established businesses while spending four full years in Afghanistan as a designated country-safety manager. For his last job, he was called to work on a major project for Amazon, highlighting his career as an essential worker during the COVID-19 crisis. He was a passionate father, a selfless provider who prioritized taking care of his family, audiophile, car enthusiast, expert grill master, adventurer of all sorts, a grand entertainer, a power-house of energy and classy humor, a man who truly evoked pure joy just with being presence. His fine taste was reflected in aesthetics, food, movies, games, music, and more. If anyone lacked a smile, he would give you one of his.In 2020 he started anew with high hopes of living a life of bliss with his new devout bride.He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jose Amando and Evelia Reyes; by his paternal grandparents, Benito and Cecilia R. Garza; by his sister, Audrey Marie Perez; by his uncle, Dennis David Garza.He is survived by his devoted wife, Ivonne Astrid Garza who adored him; by his beloved mom, Maricela “Marie” Lupear his rock; by his father, Benito Garza Jr. (Olga); by his cherished children, Ianneli Denise Garza, Benjamin Andrew Garza, and Diego Andres Garza; by his sisters, Devenny Denise Lupear (Gabriel Peche) and Graciela Garza (Eduardo Silva); by his brother Javier Ricardo Garza and many extended family members.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home, 4402 E Saunders, Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium to Santo Niño Mission Catholic Church for a holy Mass at 10 a.m.Inurnment will be held at a later date.
