Carlos Anselmo Oropeza

Carlos Anselmo Oropeza, 67, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. He passed away in Laredo, Texas.Carlos was born in Callao, Lima on September 19, 1952 to Reynaldo and Juana de Oropeza. Mr. Oropeza served in the Armada Nacional de Peru. Afterwards he moved from his hometown in Peru to live in Venezuela for several years. He then moved to Mexico where he met his future wife Gloria Robles. During their 30 years of marriage they enjoyed dancing and traveling around the world. Carlos worked several construction jobs and was gainfully employed at LMC for almost 10 years at the time of his passing.Mr. Oropeza was preceded in death by his parents Reynaldo and Juana Garcia and his brother-in-law Jose Robles, Jr.“Chales” as he was affectionately called is survived by his loving wife of 30 years of marriage, Gloria R. Oropeza; stepchildren Belinda (†Amador Jr.) Herrera, Yolanda (Jorge Jr.) Gonzalez, Adriana Blomquist Martinez, and Arturo (Gaby) Blomquist, III. He is also survived by his siblings Ma. Luisa (Walter) De La Puente, Ma. Isabel (Jose) Rojas and Juan (Letty) Oropeza Garcia and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.The family would like to express their utmost sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff from LMC for their exceptional care.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 19, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Holy Mass at 9:30 a.m.Interment will be held at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
