Gustavo Castillo

Mr. Gustavo Castillo, 56, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in Laredo, Texas. Gus, was larger than life.  If you were his friend, you knew what it felt like to laugh until it hurt.   A loving brother to Jerry and Rick, a wonderful son to Sonny and Alicia, and most of all, a proud father to Matthew, and Jakob. Gus, for all his “wild ways” as a young man, always believed in our Lord Jesus Christ, because he adored his mother.  He was fond of saying “The Lord works in mysterious ways “.  Please join us, as we say “Goodbye, to our Gus”.He is preceded in death by maternal-grandparents Faustino and Andreita Reyes and paternal-grandparents Susano, Sr. and Juanita Z. Castillo.Mr. Castillo is survived by his beloved kiddos Matty and Jakeers, parents Susano and Alicia Castillo and his brothers Gerardo R. “Jerry” Castillo and Ricardo “Rick” (Edith) Castillo.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 8:10 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St. to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Holy Mass at 8:30 a.m.Interment will follow at the family plot in the Laredo City Cemetery.
