It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hilario Solis Jr. on April 30, 2024. Hilario Solis Jr. was born on July 13, 1939, in Laredo, Texas. He was a devoted hardworking father who demonstrated to his children a strong work ethic and installed strong religious Catholic values. He was a veteran of the United States Army, an automotive sales manager at Firestone, Goodyear, and Jesse Martinez Auto Center. He had a passion for automotive vehicles with trucks being his favorite. He served his church, Our Lady of Guadalupe, as a Eucharistic Minister, a youth group leader, and a Jamaica chairperson. He was also involved with little league baseball as a coach for the Laredo Noon Optimist team J.C. Auto & Tractor Parts - Cherokees. Hilario will be best remembered by his family as a gardener with a green thumb, a great cook, an artist, and a super grandpa. He always enjoyed being surrounded by his large family and will be remembered fondly for generations to come.
He is preceded in death by his parents Hilario Sr. and Antonia Y. Solis, sister Maria Veronica (Jose A.) Almazan, and his father Conrado Solis.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Gloria M. Solis, son Hilario Solis III (Linda Estrada), daughter Sandra S. (Raul) Garza, grandchildren John Christopher, Ashley Christine, Hilario IV, Lindsey Christine, Max Vincent Garza, and Jake Rohan Garza, and his great-grandchildren Hailey Megan, Tytus Solis, and Zoe Maya Ramirez. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Jose Angel (Sylvia) Solis, Sylvia S. (+ Gerardo) Treviño, Roberto (Claudina) Solis, Ofelia (Narciso) Rocha, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made out to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 10, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Holy Mass at 9:00 a.m.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
