Jorge Alberto “Sonny” Nieto

Jorge Alberto “Sonny” Nieto passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 in Laredo, Texas at the age of 37. Sonny was a fun, happy-go-lucky person who enjoyed listening and dancing to Tejano music. Those who knew him remember his smile and effervescent personality. He had a heart of gold and was the life of any get-together. He will be missed by all who knew him.He is preceded in death by his father Joe Nieto III, paternal grandparents Joe Jr. and Enedina Nieto, maternal grandparents Emilio “Chito” Davila and Virginia R. Davila.Sonny is survived by his mother Sara Jo Davila, daughter Jayda Nieto, brothers Joe IV (Kay), Ricardo and Anthony Nieto. He is also survived by his niece Gia Nieto, uncles and aunts Emilio (Patricia) Davila Jr., Vicky D. (Ruben) Cantu, Laura D. (†Marc) Prevost, Ernesto Davila and Eduardo (Diana) Davila.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. officiated by Norman and Sandra Howell Church of the Crossroads Pastors.Inurnment will be held at a later date.
