Ms. Librada Tamez passed away Friday, December 15, 2023, at the age of 95 in Laredo, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leonides and Aurora Leal, and her husband Raul Hector Tamez.

Ms. Tamez is survived by her children Carlos Tamez, Francisco (Lupita) Tamez, and Raul Tamez, grandchildren Carlos Tamez Jr. (Corinne Garza), Kevin Tamez, Francisco (Valerie) Tamez, Mayra (Daniel) Mays, and Héctor Tamez. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. from Aguero Funeral Home to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Holy Mass at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow at the family plot in the Laredo City Cemetery.
