Maria B. Cortez

Mrs. Maria B. Cortez passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, in Laredo, Texas at the age of 78, surrounded by her loving family.She is preceded in death by her parents Sotero and San Juanita Banda, son Reuben Cortez, and her brothers Zacarias and Teodoro Banda.Mrs. Cortez is survived by the father of her children Raymond Cortez, children Rick (Norma Nora) Cortez, Ray (Pamela) Cortez, Rhonda Marie Deleon, and Rosa Mendez, siblings Paulita (†Angel) Cruz, Dimas (†Trinidad) Banda, and Aurora (Juan) Ruiz. She is also survived by grandchildren Reuben (Becca) Cortez Jr., Roland (Michelle) Cortez, Rose Marie (Antonio) Pinto, Reba Marie Cortez, Randy Deleon, Tiffany Jean (Eric) Quevedo, Reneal Marie (Dorian) Cortez, Jorge Armando Ramos, Raymond Gilbert Cortez, and Robert Deleon, great-grandchildren Ashton Pederzani, Gabriel Cortez, Ryan Cortez, Christian Cortez, Anahi Beatrice Pinto, Cameron Cortez, Antonio Pinto Jr., Jayden Cortez, Julian Cortez, Arianna Marie Pinto, Reuben Ray Ramos, Izac Alexander Ramos, and Marcus Anthony Ramos,  numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m.Inurnment will be held at a later date.
