Maria “Lupana” Garza De Cantu

Hija, Hermana, Esposa, Madre, Abuela, Bisabuela. Una gran mujer de Dios que fue muy querida por todos. Para la mayoría de nosotros ella fue conocida como “Mami”. Su gran deleite fue servir a Dios, y criar a sus hijos en el evangelio.  Uno de sus mayores amores fue ver la alegría que le causaba llevar a sus nietos e hijos tacos de frijoles a la iglesia casi todos los domingos. Su mayor alegría es que logró ver a todos sus hijos sirviendo a Dios incluyendo sus nietos. Y se deleitaba al ver a su familia unida, comiendo, cantando y sonriendo siempre!
El martes 12 de septiembre de 2023, “Mami” Cantú fue llamada al hogar del Señor.
Le precedieron en la muerte su madre, Vicenta Camacho, su padre, José Garza, y sus hermanos, Antonio Garza, Felicita Garza y ​​Alfonso Garza.
Para apreciar su memoria queda su amado esposo, Benjamín L. Cantú; Sus cinco hijos, Benjamín (Patricia) Cantú, José Rogelio (Zully) Cantú, David (Lisa) Cantú, Daniel Cantú y Débora (Héctor) Nájera. Además de sus catorce nietos, Benjamín Cantú III, Jonathan (Lizbeth) Cantú, Joshua (Alexa) Cantú, Leah Cantú, Rebekkah Cantú, Héctor Najera, Andrea Cantú, Gamaliel Najera, Jaydin Abigail Cantú, Zúriel Najera, Israel Cantú, Asher Cantú, Lyla Najera, Caleb Cantú y su bisnieta Valeria Cantú.
La vamos a extrañar enormemente.

Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother. A great woman of God who was very loved by everyone. To most of us she was known as “Mami.” Her great delight was serving God and raising her children in the gospel. One of her greatest loves was seeing the joy it brought her to bring her grandchildren and children bean tacos to church almost every Sunday. Her greatest joy is that she was able to see all her children serving God, including her grandchildren. And she delighted in seeing her family united, eating, singing, and always smiling!
On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, “Mami” Cantu was called home to the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Vicenta Camacho, her father, Jose Garza, and her siblings, Antonio Garza, Felicita Garza, & Alfonso Garza.
Left to Cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Benjamin L. Cantu; Her five children, Benjamin (Patricia) Cantu, Jose Rogelio (Zully) Cantu, David (Lisa) Cantu, Daniel Cantu, and Debora (Hector) Najera. In addition, her fourteen grandchildren, Benjamin Cantu III, Jonathan (Lizbeth) Cantu, Joshua (Alexa) Cantu, Leah Cantu, Rebekkah Cantu, Héctor Najera, Andrea Cantu, Gamaliel Najera, Jaydin Abigail Cantu, Zúriel Najera, Israel Cantu, Asher Cantu, Lyla Najera, Caleb Cantu and her great-granddaughter Valeria Cantu.
She will be greatly missed.

Se llevará a cabo un velorio el viernes 15 de septiembre de 2023, de 4 de la tarde a las 9 de la noche en la Iglesia Pentecostales de Laredo, 1820 Boston St., Laredo, TX 78041. Un servicio de despedida a su nuevo hogar comenzará a las 7 de la noche.
Servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el sábado 16 de septiembre de 2023 a las 9:30 a. m. en la Iglesia Pentecostales de Laredo, 1820 Boston St., Laredo, TX 78041.
Seguirá el entierro en el terreno familiar en el cementerio de la ciudad de Laredo.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 15, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at The Pentecostals of Laredo Church, 1820 Boston St., Laredo, TX 78041.   A homegoing service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. at The Pentecostals of Laredo Church, 1820 Boston St., Laredo, TX 78041.
Interment will follow at the family plot in the Laredo City Cemetery.
