Veronica E. Garza

Ms. Veronica E. Garza, 78, joined our Lord in his heavenly kingdom on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Veronica was born in Laredo, TX. April 1, 1946. She received her bachelor’s degree at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. in Economics. She started her career as an examiner at different banks in Texas. She moved on to work back in Laredo at STNB, LNB, and lastly, Falcon Bank while finding time to get her CPA license as well. After her retirement, she continued working as an accountant. Ms. Garza was an active parishioner at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She loved the community that Father Francisco created for her church and enjoyed helping as many people as she could.

She is preceded in death by her father Genaro G. Garza and mother Maria E. Garza, sister Griselda G. Garza, and son Neal E. Dillard.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Christopher Dillard, daughters Mary J. Dillard and Judith R. (Mario) Garcia-Valadez, brother Juan G. (Leticia) Garza, grandchildren Luis (Kary) Sanchez, Angela (J.J.) Hernandez, Cynthia (Jeremy) Veal, Stephanie (Josh Rivas) Sanchez, Stephen (Ami) Dillard, Juan Carlos Dillard, Alexandria Dillard, Christopher Dillard Jr., Neal E. Dillard, Jayden Valadez, and Amelia Valadez, niece Brandie Garza, and her nephew Genaro T. Garza. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, great grandchildren, and friends. 

Paul Bearers will be Louie Sanchez, Stephen Dillard, Genaro Garza, Juan Carlos Dillard, Chrisopher Dillard Jr., and Neal E. Dillard. 

Honorary Paul Bearers will be Mario C. Valadez and Jose Cardenas
